Read Other Blogs
If you can’t think of anything to write, read other blogs in your niche and do a roundup of their content. Pick 10 or 12 blog posts, summarize them and then link to the full posts. This will help you generate fresh content and it may also help you make friends in the blogging community. The most important thing about this tactic is summarizing each blog post in your own words, as you don’t want to copy someone else’s content.
Go Shopping
If you like to write about products in your niche, window shopping is one of the best ways to get new ideas for content. Fortunately, you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Go to Amazon.com or another shopping website and look around at all the products available. Amazon ranks products according to their sales, so you might want to pick a few best-selling products and write about those.
Check Your Stats
If you want to increase traffic, you should be checking your blog statistics regularly. These statistics will tell you how many people visited your blog and how they found your blog. Most Web statistics reports also let you know which keywords people used to find your blog. Look at these keywords and see if there are any you have not covered previously. Write a post about each keyword to attract additional traffic. For web statistics we highly recommend GetClicky.com
Read Old Posts
The best thing about blogging is that it allows you to look back and see what you were thinking about at any given time. If you need ideas for new content, read some of your old posts. You may find that you have changed your mind about something. If so, write a new post that contains your new opinion and explains why you changed your mind.
